As you know, these are verbs that **do not follow** the standard rule for making a verb past tense or the past participle. While regular verbs simply add **-ed** (for example, *walk* becomes *walked*), irregular verbs often change their spelling entirely across the three main forms: the Base Form, the Simple Past, and the Past Participle.

For example, our base verb *Begin* changes to *Began* in the Simple Past, and *Begun* in the Past Participle. This can make them tricky! Mastering these unique verbs is absolutely essential for fluency, and in this lesson, we will break down the most common ones you need to know.
